Welcome to STORYCAKES.com! My name is The Baker, and I'll be your hostess of sorts through my cyber-kitchen.
Firstly, I'm a Story Baker, not a food baker. My Cakes are made with love, care, and literary elements. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
Really, first off, this site can be broken down into three parts: 1) Minute Munchies, 2) Sit Tights, and 3) Chef vs. Baker.
Minute Munchies are the first part of this triology of sorts. My Mother always told me: Keep things under a minute or else you'll lose your audience. Because I want taste-testers, I'm taking Momma's advice and keeping my vlogs to exactly a minute. Here you'll be introduced to cool, weird, new-to-me sites I've found on the internet. Hopefully they're worthy of a minute or two of your day. Updated on: Mondays.
Sit Tights are 5 minute clips going over longer topics that can't be fit into my minute munchies. These are done by my waitress-daughter, Thyme. We call her SuperThyme, though, because she has superpowers of superspeed, superaccuracy, and superhuman taste (helps when you're creating in the Kitchen). Here you'll find Top Nines ('Leaves you wanting Something more'), Compare/Contrasts of Websites, and Big Breakdowns (the sites that I couldn't breakdown in a minute). If you can sit tight for 5 minutes, SuperThyme will do a super-job of entertaining you. Updated on: Wednesdays.
Chef vs. Baker is the last part of this 3-part project. Chef, the other cook in my Kitchen, is always trying to create his own recipes while I'm baking cakes in the oven. You know what they say about too many cooks in the Kitchen, right? Well, we've finally settled on a final showdown... but, granted, an end isn't in sight. Once a week, the Kitchen's interior decorator, JillSpellman.com, will give each of us a topic challenge, and within a week's time, we'll both write 200-word stories on the same topic. When both are posted, all you tasters vote on the better story by commenting below the posts. Updated on: Fridays.
